What in Tar-Nation?

Few, if any, athletic programs are as storied as the University of North Carolina. So when the Tar Heels let us swap their sacred Carolina Blue for lime green, it certainly added a unique page in the chapters of 2014-16. We helped provide in-game activations for both basketball and football, along with year-round promotions for UNC's #TURNITGREEN efforts.

Dean Dome = Green Dome

A sold-out Dean Dome during a UNC home game is a sight to behold. Fill it with 22,000 green shirts and one strategically placed green tie and we've changed the game completely. We designed apparel for the fans, band, cheerleaeders, dance team and even Rameses the mascot. In addition, we also created a halftime video and LED animations and designed signage throughout the stadium. The nationally televised game received signifant media coverage for Repreve.

Argyle with Style

After the success of our custom Detroit Lions helmet giveaways, we created a few different designs for the UNC football game. The first leveraged a traditional Carolina Blue with a customized take on their standard argyle patterns, and the second featured a flat green helmet and UNC's blue logo and stripe. As with the Lions, each helmet was disassembled, painted, reassembled and had decals applied by our team.

Not only did we turn a North Carolina football game green, but we also put on a halftime promotion where two lucky UNC students won $1,000 gift cards to the school's book store, custom jerseys and our custom football helmets. In total, UNC's recycling efforts with Repreve helped turn over a quarter million bottles into the products we designed and helped make. And while the players didn't wear our lime green helmets, the fans outside the stadium got to see what it would have looked like.

Tar Heel Town Takeover

It was fun for the whole family in Tar Heel town, prior to the game. We gave aways towels, beanies, jerseys, t-shirts, helmets and more to the hundreds of fans lined up at the Repreve tent.
