Twenty miles south of Atlanta, this 1.54-mile, quad-oval track is one of the fastest on the NASCAR circuit, with a record lap speed of more than 197 mph. The turns are banked 24 degrees and the straightaways are banked 5 degrees to challenge the world’s best drivers. Racing scenes in both Smokey and the Bandit II and Stoker Ace were filmed here.

This half day is filled with a series of technical briefings, varied autocross courses and racetrack driving—all designed to introduce you to the new 2014 race-engineered Audi R8.

Audi experts, product specialists and professional drivers will be on hand to give you one-on-one coaching and exclusive inside looks into Audi performance, precision and innovation.

And, of course, you’ll enjoy legendary Audi hospitality at every turn.


Audi technologies take center stage during the autocross, as you explore the handling capabilities of the R8. The Audi Space Frame® revolutionary chassis is as strong as steel but lighter providing high torsional rigidity and optimal performance. Paired with the seven-speed S tronic® direct shift gearbox, which combines the advantages of a conventional six-speed manual with the conveniences of a modern automatic and delivers immense agility and smooth, dynamic acceleration. Experience first-hand the Audi technology inspired by 11 victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with a few laps through the complex series of pylons.

Track Lapping

Following the autocross, you will take the driving techniques learned and apply them to your drive on the racetrack, paced by a professional racing driver. This is the ultimate test of car and driver where you will discover Audi deep engineering and uncompromising performance and speed. As your skills increase, so will your understanding of the amazing performance characteristics of the new Audi R8 supercar—the blueprint for all Audi Sport performance cars.

Who is eligible to participate in this event?

This event is open to the recipient of the e-mail and one guest of their choice. All guests must be 18 years of age or older. Your guest may also drive, but all drivers must be at least 25 years of age and have a valid driver's license. All guests under the age of 25 or those that do not have proof of a valid driver's license will not be allowed to drive. Offers are NON-TRANSFERABLE.

Do I need to register to attend the event?

Yes. Drive times will fill up quickly, so you'll need to register online and reserve your time as soon as you can.

How long will the event last?

The event will take approximately three hours.

Are there any costs associated with this event?

The experience at the track (autocross, track lapping, light refreshments and hospitality) are provided courtesy of Audi of America. Personal travel to and from the event is not included.

Can I bring my kids?

We recommend leaving the children at home. There are no scheduled activities or chaperones for them. All attendees, whether driving or not, must sign liability waiver forms upon entry. Guests under the age of 18 may not be left unattended and parents must sign the liability waiver.

What should I bring to the drive?

All you need is a valid driver's license for every driver. Food and beverage will be provided.

What should I wear?

Bring sunglasses, and wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes (i.e. athletic shoes) for driving. No flip-flops or heels, please. You may want to bring a jacket in case of cold or inclement weather.

What happens in case of bad weather?

The event will take place regardless of rain or other inclement weather.

Will I be required to sign a legal agreement and waiver regarding liability?

All guests, whether driving or not, must sign liability waiver forms upon entry.
